Résumé

Considering the particulates/contaminants that are present, it seems prudent to equip the ventilation system with high rated filters. The use of nitrous oxide, the selection of sterilization methods and dental procedures such as the use of high volume evacuators (HVE) can significantly impact the indoor air quality (IAQ) in dental spaces. These issues have been largely beyond the ken of HVAC designers. Yet, acknowledging these factors is critical to designing an effective HVAC system for a dental facility.
