Transfert de chaleur du dioxyde de carbone supercritique coulant dans un tube horizontal refroidi.

Heat transfer of supercritical carbon dioxide flowing in a cooled horizontal tube.

Auteurs : OLSON D. A.

Résumé

Measurements of heat transfer coefficients of carbon dioxide flowing in a horizontal tube at pressures higher than the critical (7.38 MPa critical pressure, 31.1 °C critical temperature) are reported. The tube, 10.9 mm ID, was cooled over 274 cm by the counterflow of cold water. This set a convective boundary condition similar to what would be encountered in the "gas condenser" of a CO2 refrigeration cycle. Experimental parameters found to influence the heat transfer coefficient were pressure, temperature with respect to the pseudocritical, flow rate, and cooling rate. The heat transfer coefficients were higher than those predicted by constant property correlations throughout the range of parameters tested.
