Maplewood, N.J., USA, is a town with a plan to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions 20% by 2015. Starting in 2006, it redesigned its recycling programme, converted its non-speciality motor vehicle fleet to hybrids, and completed an energy audit of its municipal buildings among other initiatives.
