Résumé

The test run of the superconducting magnetic levitation (maglev) railway is planned from spring 1997 onwards. Three vehicle bodies and five trucks have already been delivered and completed. Because the truck is the supporting section for the vehicle body and the superconducting magnet, rigidity, strength and weight reduction are all required. The truck frame is made of aluminium welded construction. Additionally, for the body, it is necessary to install a magnetic shield in order to decrease the magnetic field in the passenger room and reduce weight while maintaning noise reduction, a high-pressure roof and high rigidity. The vehicle structure is primarily composed of aluminium honeycomb panels.
