Une étude expérimentale sur l'ammoniac diphasique dans des tubes et des coudes.

An experimental investigation of two-phase ammonia in tubes and bends.

Résumé

Two-phase flow of ammonia in horizontal tubes and bends has significant effects on the performance of ammonia air coolers. With the aid of a purpose built ammonia test rig, flow visualisation in a glass tube and pressure drop in stainless steel tubes of 15 mm internal diameter have been recorded. A series of flow visualisation tests were carried out using a glass tube with an 1800 return bend in the horizontal, and in the vertical position as seen in ammonia air coolers. Tests were carried out at 4, -4, -10, -14, -19 and -24°C with mass flux densities between 10 to 70 kg/m2.s. The dryness fraction was varied to identify the point where full annular flow occurs. Pressure drop was measured in both straight lengths of tube and tube with 1800 return bends for mass flux densities of 20, 30 and 50 kg/m2.s for a range of dryness fractions at 4, -10 and -24°C. Predictions can be made for pressure drop in straight lengths of tube at different temperatures when pressure drop is already known at one temperature.
