Une étude sur les configurations d'un évaporateur à serpentin au CO2 dans une boucle frigorifique.

A study of evaporator coil configurations using CO2 in a refrigeration loop.

Auteurs : AIDOUN Z., OUZZANE M.

Résumé

Carbon dioxide represents a promising refrigerant alternative to HCFCs and HFCs. In this perspective, an overview of an evaporator coil design model is presented along with typical coil simulations. The model uses the NIST database for refrigerant properties and provides adequate flexibility for local parameter calculations across the coil. Validation with data from the literature and simulations were then performed on staggered and in-line configurations at refrigeration temperatures. Parameter distributions were tracked inside and outside the coil. Tube arrangements and their relative positions largely influenced phase repartition and overall operation. Staggered coil performance was superior to in-line's but pressure losses, air temperature and humidity gradients were also higher.
