Résumé

Emerging gas markets present strong potential for liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand, but many face unique logistical and economic challenges. Remote regions often lack gas grids, making conventional pipelines unfeasible and requiring alternative delivery methods such as truck or rail. Small island states also offer opportunities for cleaner energy transitions, yet their modest demand makes traditional LNG import terminals financially impractical. As a result, these areas remain underserved by existing gas infrastructure. For both remote and island markets, supplying LNG via ISO containers and small-scale LNG (SSLNG) carriers provides a practical, flexible and cost-effective solution, enabling reliable energy access despite geographical constraints.
