Résumé

Discusses the relationship between air flow in a space and the creation of thermal comfort conditions. Reports recent research findings concerning room air flow, with the focus on displacement ventilation with and without ceiling cooling. States that when chilled ceilings are used, the advantage of better air quality in the room is only retained if the ceiling cooling effect is not much greater than that of the displacement ventilation. Supplies information concerning air speeds at various cooling powers.
