Résumé

Publications have been of high importance for transfer of knowledge and science and their applications. At the initiative of Prof. Dr Heike Kamerlingh Onnes in 1908, a first publication in the NVvK magazine is established. The history of the magazine is described and a review of Onnes' entourage and of the development of refrigeration up till the 20th century is given.
