At least 56,000 centrifugal and screw chillers still use ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerants to provide comfort cooling in tens of thousands of buildings across America, according to a survey released today by the Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).
