Résumé

A residential heating system using solar energy with off-peak electric energy (dual heat source, DHS) is presented to meet heating demands both for indoor spaces and hot water. Based on a dwelling with 100 m2 heating area located in Beijing, economic analysis of the DHS heating system compared with central heating, district heating and residential heating system is presented. The results show that: 1) The initial investment of the DHS system is 1622.88 US$, higher than the others; 2) The daily operating cost and the annual expenditure of the DHS system is the lowest, i.e. 3.42 US$/m2 and 4.50 US$/(m2·a), respectively. Hence, the DHS system is more economical than the others. Meanwhile the electric heat-storage technology can decrease the difference between peak and valley of power grid to improve the efficiency of power grid.
