Résumé

This paper presents a new technology with adsorption dehumidification for improving the performance of ground source heat pumps (GSHP). The working medium (air) firstly passes through a dehumidifier to be dried before it is sent into the ground for cooling. Cool air from underground can then be humidified or dehumidified through an adiabatic process so that its temperature and humidity are further adjusted. Several different processes have been analysed, including different outdoor air conditions and different ground heat sink temperatures. The results of thermodynamic analysis show that the performance and reliability of the GSHP are greatly improved by the new technology.
