Résumé

Hydrocarbon refrigerants are now commercialised in various sectors of the air-conditioning market. This paper documents a number of case studies from this industry sector in order to illustrate the degree of applicability that flammable refrigerants possess and underlines the advantages and limitations that should be considered. Application safety, associated costs and performance issues are discussed.
