Résumé

Cold air (-28 °C) is usually fed into frozen food stores up near the ceiling. If the air is blown into the area horizontally, a marked ceiling air flow with the resulting room flow structure is expected as a result of the Coanda effect, depending on the geometric and thermal conditions. In large frozen food stores, the air may also be blown into the area vertically. In this case major room air eddies become established in the aisles leading to a uniform temperature distribution.
