Calcul ou mesure des performances d'un système au CO2.

Calculated versus measured performance for a CO2 system.

Numéro : pap. 1128

Résumé

Supermarket refrigeration systems use a number of individual closed loop controllers, which are not interconnected, to optimise the overall system performance. The understanding of the interdependency between the individual controllers is the key to reap the harvest of the optimisation potential. In an attempt to quantify the potential for optimising the performance, a measuring project was initiated. The mass flow and power consumption of a CO2 refrigeration system for a supermarket have been measured over a year. The obtained profiles for the refrigeration load and the outdoor temperature are used to calculate the power consumption based on data from the compressor manufacturer. The measured power consumption is approximately 25% higher than the calculated. This result is discussed and the performance is compared to a number of refrigeration systems of a similar size. A control strategy for overriding the individual controllers is suggested.
