Résumé

The restrictive international regulations are forcing the replacement in short/medium term of old refrigerants, those of the HCFC family, with new refrigerants like HFC and natural fluids. The fact that this substitution takes place in industrial cooling and air conditioning plants that are still in use, as well as in those under construction or being considered, underlines some problems: the response of old facilities working with new fluids, new temperatures and pressures present in the circuit, cooling power obtained, compressor electrical consumption, etc. The paper describes the characterization of real refrigeration plants, located in laboratories, by data acquisition and analysis obtained during its operation.
