Chute de pression et caractéristiques de transfert de chaleur d'un coulis de glace dans un échangeur de chaleur de type tubulaire.

Pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics of ice slurry in a tube type heat exchanger.

Auteurs : LEE D. W., LEE S. M.

Résumé

To clarify the hydraulic and thermal characteristics of ice slurry which was made from 6.5% ethylene glycol-water solution flow in the tube-type heat exchanger, experimental studies were performed. The pressure drops and heat transfer rates of ice slurry were measured in a 0.5 inch copper tube. The mass flux and ice fraction of ice slurry varied from 800 to 3,500 kg/m2s and from 0 to 25%, respectively. During the experiment, it was found that the measured pressure drop and heat transfer rate increase with the mass flux and ice fraction; however the effect of ice fraction appears not to be significant at high mass flux region. At the region of low mass flux, a sharp increase in the pressure drop and heat transfer rate were observed when the ice fraction was more than certain value depends on mass flux.
