Résumé

The paper presents the review of work on the fluid dynamics of fine crystalline ice slurry. In order to emphasize the importance of safety operation during ice slurry transport, flow patterns are shown. According to the wide range of different rheological models, used for the ice slurry, a model believed to be the most appropriate rheological model is recommended. The overview of existing pressure drop experiments is made and the problems arising when comparing measurements and experimental results are discussed. Further directions of ice-slurry research are indicated and proposed in order to obtain the reliable models needed from the industry or user sides.
