Comparaison critique entre éjecteurs monophasique et diphasique dans un système de refroidissement commercial simulé au CO2 transcritique.

Critical comparison between single-phase ejector and two-phase ejector in simulated CO2 transcritical commercial cooling system.

Résumé

The use of CO2 has become an attractive solution for commercial cooling systems due to its good thermodynamic and environmental properties. However, it has not shown very good performances when used in warm to hot climate conditions. To improve the energy efficiency of those systems, the use of different components has been proposed in the literature. One of the studied approaches is adding an ejector in the refrigeration system.
This article compares the system performances with two different kinds of ejectors: two-phase ejector and single-phase ejector. Moreover, the studied systems use a water gas cooler instead of a classical air gas cooler. The simulation results show that the system performance depends on the water temperature difference and water inlet temperature. The single-phase ejector presents better performance indicators at high secondary evaporator fluid temperature difference and low water inlet temperature. It is the opposite for the two-phase ejector system.
