Résumé

In the melting process of an ice particle bed, the flow channel, which is called a “water channel”, is formed in the ice particle bed due to the local melting. Formation of the water channel causes some problems such as temperature rise of ejected water and residual of unmelted ice. In this study, a 2-dimensional simulation was carried out and the behavior of formation and growth of water channel in an ice particle bed in warm water flow was investigated. As a result, it was found that the shape of water channel formed in the initial process of the melting of the ice particle bed depends on the initial shape of the inflow surface of the ice particle bed. It was also found that the formation of secondary water channel and the growth of initial water channel are inhibited after the initial water channel grows wide.
