Résumé

These proceedings contain 33 papers presented at this conference, sponsored by the IIR, held in Smolenice, Slovakia, September 26-28, 2001. This 4th international conference on compressors and coolants was organized by the Slovak Association for Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology and the Slovak Committee for cooperation with the IIR. Main themes: plenary lectures (refrigeration and air conditioning: what's new at regulatory and technical levels? refrigerants: from CFCs to natural fluids? modelling of the dynamics of reed type valves; inner pressure indication of refrigeration compressor; development of small compressors regarding noise suppression; a view on the present development of cooling compressors); compressors' electronics; expectations in compressor technology; influence of coolants and oils; methods in compressor research; compressors and coolants for special purposes.
