Résumé

High-rise buildings embrace vast populations of people and heat-generating appliances. Therefore, inappropriate design and operation affect occupants' health and comfort, and cause economic losses, more energy consumption and global environmental contamination. The paper introduces important topics to be considered in the future, from the wide area of HVAC-concerned engineering and philosophy.
