Résumé

In order to provide a complete picture for the implementation of law 10/91, the authors consider a few application decrees of Art. 4 subsections 1 and 2, and especially Art. 30, concerning energy certification in buildings. The article analyses the possible contents, impact and influence that these decrees may have on building design. By way of example, the authors analyse a town-planning project carried out in Tuscany with a view to understanding which project devices, so far heavily conditioned by the logic of maximizing building volumes, should be adopted in order to comply with the new legislative requirements.
