Résumé

The conceptual design of a double-way solid-gas chemisorption refrigeration cycle based on adsorption and resorption processes is presented in the paper, in which two different reactive salts, one is low-temperature salt and the other is high-temperature salt, were used as adsorbents and the ammonia was utilized as refrigerant. For the proposed cycle, the useful cooling was obtained from the evaporation heat of the refrigerant during the adsorption process and from the desorption heat of the low-temperature salt during the resorption process. The presented double-way sorption cycle has a distinct advantage of larger COP in comparison with the conventional adsorption cycle or resorption cycle due to the possibility that two cooling-effects could be gained at the expense of only one heat input at high temperature. Experimental verification indicated that the advanced double way cycle was feasible for refrigeration application.
