Résumé

A cryogenic system has been proposed and the design has been carried out for the Beijing Electron Positron Collider II (BEPC II) which will be upgraded by using superconducting technology in order to increase the energy. The cryogenic system with a cooling capacity of 800 W at 4.5 K will serve three consumers: SCQ magnet, SC solenoid magnets and SC cavities. The paper presents the preliminary design of the cryogenic system. Two expanders, one J-T valve and seven heat exchangers are employed to provide a cooling capacity of 800 W and two subcoolers and a control dewar are used to ensure that the three consumers are capable of running stably under superconducting conditions. The cryogenic system will run in the modes of cool-down, normality, abnormalities, quench and warm-up, respectively.
