Résumé

Beyond the LHC, already under construction, several large accelerators are under discussion or in the planning phase in the US, in Europe and in Japan, for instance the Linear Colliders (NLC, JLC, TESLA, CLIC), a Very Large Hadron Collider (VLHC) and a Neutrino Factory and Muon Collider. All these accelerators, except the NLC, JLC and CLIC, require many superconducting magnets and RF cavities and therefore large cryogenic systems for cooling of these elements at 4.5 or even 2 K. The paper briefly describes these large particle accelerators, introduces the components to be cooled and discusses the necessary cryogenic systems.
