Coulis de glace : utilisation des déterminations des propriétés des solutions aqueuses afin d'évaluer la concentration de glace et les valeurs enthalpiques.

Using property values of water solutions and ice to estimate ice concentration and enthalpy values of ice slurries.

Résumé

The paper covers some phenomena in connection with freezing of aqueous solutions and as well as with enthalpy diagrams of phase changing secondary refrigerants used as ice slurries. Charts with ice concentration curves as a function of the temperature and concentration of the aqueous solution are given for a number of water solutions. The paper gives charts with enthalpy values as a function of the temperature and concentration of the aqueous solution and with approximate ice concentration curves for propylene glycol, ethyl alcohol and potassium formate. Charts giving the apparent specific heat are also given for these water solutions. The charts for ethyl alcohol-water are in good agreement with work reported on at the IIR congress in Sydney (Guilpart, et al. 1999).
