Résumé

This article describes an MRI guided percutaneous interstitialcryoablation. Experimentation shows the following results: from April 2001 to March 2002, 10 HCCs in 10 cases, 10 RCCs in 5 cases and 5 fibroids in 4 cases were treated. In all cases, cryoprobes were located safely and accurately using MRI guidance and all frozen areas were delineated clearly on the MR images. Local recurrence occurred in two cases of HCC. 3 RCCs were ablated partially. The serum level of ALT, AST, LDH and CRP were elevated but they returned to normal within 2 or 3 weeks. The adverse reactions were mild fever in all cases and probe channel abscess in two cases. Conclusion: MRI guided percutaneous cryoablation is a safe, accurate and effective modality for HCC, RCC and uterine fibroids.
