Résumé

25 years after the unsuccessful incorporation of the organic Rankine cycle into a number of pilot and commercial projects in the 1980s, the interest in this form of electricity generation is huge. This is not only due to developments in global energy prices but also because people are becoming aware that consumption of fossil fuels should be minimized. The way towards sustainable electricity generation is wide open. Both investors and manufacturers are developing projects on the basis of organic Rankine cycle technology.
