Résumé

REHVA nZEB Task Force prepared technical definitions for nearly zero energy buildings required in the implementation of the Energy performance of buildings directive recast. REHVA nZEB definition has been since now the only available methodology for the primary energy indicator calculation prepared in the level of detail to be suitable for the implementation in national building codes. The intention of the Task Force is to help the experts in the Member States to define the nearly zero energy buildings in a uniform way. REHVA nZEB definition was launched first time on May 19, 2011. During 2012-2013 the definitions were revised and complemented with specifications for nearby renewable energy and for the contribution of renewable energy use. The revision was coordinated with CEN project group preparing 2nd generation EPBD standards due 2015. As a result of the revision, the system boundaries and equations are given for energy need, energy use, delivered and exported energy, primary energy and for renewable energy ratio calculation. With these definitions and energy calculation framework, primary energy indicator and renewable energy ratio can be calculated as required by the directive. Calculation principles are explained with worked examples in order to assure uniform understanding of the definitions. This paper summarizes the outcome of nZEB Task Force work. Full report is available from REHVA website.
