Développement d'un compresseur à balancier hermétique de forte puissance utilisant du CO2.

Development of hermetic large-capacity swing compressor using CO2.

Résumé

As a countermeasure for global warming, each country has been working on the reduction of the amount of HFC refrigerant based on the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol in October 2016. CO2 refrigerant, a natural refrigerant, has a low GWP of 1 and it’s non-flammable. On the other hand, CO2 refrigerant has specific characteristic, where the operating pressure and the gas density are both high. For this reason, compressors applying CO2 refrigerant used to have technical issues such as performance improvement, ensuring reliability of sliding parts, and reducing the oil circulation rate. Employing our swing type compressor, which offers in principle less leakage loss and high reliability at high differential pressure, we have developed the new CO2 hermetic compressor, which has the highest efficiency in the industry by reducing the oil circulation rate with controlling the refrigerant flow inside the compressor.
