Résumé

The paper presents a new dehumidifying system that reduces the sensible heat ratio (SHR) of cooling process without additional heat to relieve the conflict between energy saving and moisture removal. In this system, a heat exchanger is used to precool the process air entering into an evaporator as well as to reheat the process air leaving from the evaporator. Thanks to this technology, higher moisture removal and consequently higher efficiency of dehumidifying process are achieved. In addition, since this technology can be applied to an air-conditioning apparatus (HVAC system), it is suitable for a wide range of cooling loads as a variable SHR unit. In the paper, brief information of this technology from principle to possibility of applications to HVAC system is reported.
