Résumé

T. nerudai was recently described in Chile, and there is little information about the influence of the environment on its behaviour. Therefore, a comparative study with T. dendrolimi was carried out evaluating the longevity, reproduction and developmental stages of both species at 15, 20, 25 and 30 °C. Longevity and development time decreased for both species as temperature increased, T. nerudai females being most affected. The lifespan of T. nerudai was longer than T. dendrolimi regardless of temperature. The highest parasitism with Sitotroga cerealella eggs was observed with T. nerudai at 20 and 25 °C. On average, each T. nerudai female laid 74.4 cerealella eggs, whereas each T. dendrolimi female laid 43.7 eggs.
