Effet magnétocalorique dynamique.

Dynamic magnetocaloric effect.

Résumé

The aim of this work is to emphasize the need for investigations of the dynamic magnetocaloric properties to ensure progress in near room temperature magnetic refrigeration. The authors discuss available experimental techniques suitable for determination of the dynamic magnetocaloric effect and present some of recent results obtained in materials with both second and first order magnetic phase transitions. Possible problems in utilization of materials with first order magnetic phase transitions are also discussed.
