The effects of air infiltration and cooler selection on cold store running costs.

Résumé

The paper considers the way in which the inevitable air infiltration into a refrigerated facility can be dealt with. It uses a typical store to consider a low first cost option and a more expensive energy efficient alternative. First costs and running costs are estimated and compared. A graphical method of determining justified additional investment is given.
