Résumé

Experiments are performed to measure surface tension and contact angle using three groups of prepared LiBr aqueous solution samples. Experimental results show that there is a big difference between surface tension values of LiBr solution containing alcohol additives measured with pendant drop method and Wilhemly plate method respectively. The reason of inconsistency is explained. In addition, surface tension and contact angle of LiBr aqueous solution on copper plate both decrease if the amount of 2EH is suitably added such as 65ppm. If amount of alcohol additives is greater than a certain limit, contact angle on copper plate of LiBr aqueous solution would increase and wetting on heat transfer surface goes bad. Adding small amount of CNT in above mentioned solution containing alcohol additives, surface tension and contact angle both decrease. It would be beneficial for enhance of both mass and heat transfer in absorber and good for improving chillers’ COP.
