Résumé
Many additional measures for reducing GHGs from the building sector are strongly required in Japan. One of the measures is to reduce energy consumption of the air conditioning systems by promoting insulation refurbishment and replacement of equipment. We studied the current status and problems of energy conservation refurbishment projects utilizing the national subsidy system by questionnaire survey. One of the features of this study is to have grasped the current status about insulation refurbishment of non-residence buildings with a few repair examples. The refurbishment projects are implemented together with replacement of the existing equipment in many cases. Most of them are partial insulation refurbishment. One of the subjects both building owners and construction workers pointed out was that the unclear cost-effectiveness of insulation refurbishment. We focused on the refurbishment of insulation and air-conditioning systems and estimated the effect of energy conservation in office buildings by several model simulations. Moreover, based on the simulation results, we examined the energy-saving potential of the refurbishment of insulation and air-conditioning systems.
