Résumé

For the phase-out of CFCs and HCFCs, the introduction of liquid-solid mixtures in secondary loops has become important as alternative solutions in refrigeration systems. Tests were carried out with a mixture of ice and an aqueous solution of ethanol called ice slurry. The intrinsic thermophysical properties of the fluid are theoretically calculated or deduced from some approaches available in the literature. The authors give the variations of enthalpy, density, conductivity, thermal capacity and viscosity of the mixture as functions of temperature (from 20 to 30 deg C) for different initial concentrations of the alcohol in the solution. For enthalpy variations, the method used for the calculations was validated by an experimental study.
