Etude des propriétés de givrage dans un environnement à basse température.

Study of frost properties in a low temperature environment.

Auteurs : YAMASHITA K., HAMADA M., ISE S., et al.

Résumé

Clarification of the frost deposition mechanism in a low-temperature environment is an important issue in the application of heat exchangers in low-temperature equipments such as showcases and unit coolers. Therefore, frost properties were measured at air temperatures below 0°C. It was observed that needle-shaped frost crystals were formed under the chilled condition (when air temperature was varied from 0 to -5°C), and block shaped frost crystals were formed under the frozen condition (when air temperature was varied from -10 to -20°C). Under those conditions, frost properties such as density, thermal conductivity, heat transfer coefficient, and mass transfer coefficient, were measured and the results discussed.
