Experimental and theoretical investigation of cross-flow heat transfer equipment for air energy high efficient utilization.
Résumé
In this paper, a new kind of air-source high efficient heat transfer equipment was innovatively proposed. To test its advantage in mass and heat transfer, a model of cross-flow air–water mass and heat transfer based on the Poppe model was used with CaCl2 solution as a tested system. Experiment platform with wet curtain paper fillings and a heat pump were combined to test the heat collection of a CaCl2 solution, and the temperature test points were distributed at different height levels. The COP of this system was ranged from 2.1 to 4.5 with the ambient temperature varied from -3.5?°C to 6.7?°C. By comparing the model temperature results with experimental results, it was found that relative error of the water temperature at different height levels was less than 20% which indicated this model could be applied to simulate water temperatures in different winter conditions with satisfied accuracy. Moreover, the simulated results were applied to modify the structure of fillings in purpose of strengthening mass and heat transfer. Results show that the heat collection efficiency increases by 30%–40% under the same situations.
