Résumé

A ground source CO2 heat pump and air-conditioning system was designed and constructed. The performance and the temperature variations along the ground source heat exchanger were investigated experimentally. The COPH of the ground source CO2 heat pump was approximately 3.0. This is higher than an air source CO2 heat pump in winter. A solar assisted CO2 heat pump was introduced to prevent the soil temperature decreasing for long-term operation. Theoretical analysis showed that the solar energy improved the heating capacity and gave a higher COPH. This paper also investigates the compressor discharge pressure optimization for the solar assisted CO2 heat pump for various operating conditions.
