Etude sur une pompe à chaleur résidentielle à absorption à ammoniac-eau.

Investigation of a residential ammonia/water-absorption heat pump.

Résumé

A gas-driven ammonia/water absorption heat pump with a heating capacity of about 6 to 12 kW has been investigated theoretically as well as experimentally at the Institute of Thermal Engineering. The internal process analysis of the absorption system has been carried out including the properties of the ammonia-water mixture within the refrigerant circuit in order to take into consideration a non-ideal rectification. In general, the COP depends mainly on the external temperature lift (temperature difference between heat source and heat sink), as long as the pressure control works properly. The reason of an unexpected decline of the performance of the prototype has been identified using both experimental data and theoretical investigations.
