Résumé

If the desiccant dehumidification system can be driven by the heat source whose temperature is below 50°C, the exhausted heat from the fuel cell or the air conditioner can be used for the heat source. This leads to the great energy savings. There are some types of the desiccant dehumidification system - the double stage and batch type desiccant dehumidification system, etc. This paper investigates the minimum heat sources temperature to drive these systems with the simulation. The simulation is carried out using the model whose validity has already been confirmed by the experiment (Yamaguchi et al., 2007). As a result of the simulation, the double stage desiccant dehumidification system can be driven by about heat source temperature 48.2°C when the process air cools to 18°C (cooling temperature 13°C). In case of the batch type desiccant dehumidification system, its heat source temperature can be 36.7°C lower than the heat source temperature of the double stage desiccant dehumidification system when the heat exchanger is equipped inside the dehumidification and regeneration process.
