Résumé

Plants and flowers need accurate temperature control during transport, too. Temperature measurement in air-conditioned trucks during long journeys with pot plants showed the consequences of unsatisfactory temperature measurement. With a temperature setting of 16°C, the mean temperatures varied from 11.3 to 21.6°C, with a range of 4 to 6 K for temperatures at any time. Heating systems alone appeared unable to maintain the required conditions. Insufficient temperature control causes long-term damage that is not always directly apparent.
