Résumé

This paper proposes an adsorption thermal energy storage (ATES) system which can maintains the temperature of a greenhouse in an allowable range, which is suitable for growing plants. In this novel ATES system, as opposed to the typical ATES systems, both heating and cooling are provided during the adsorption process. Therefore, the ATES system takes advantage of both adsorber bed and evaporator during an adsorption process, which will increase the storage efficiency of the storage system. In the present work, a lumped-parameter thermodynamic model is developed to predict, control, and optimize the thermal behavior of the system. The
present model is verified with the experimental collected in the Laboratory for Alternative Energy Conversion.
