Résumé

The paper reviews the current existing and forthcoming (available drafts) International and European standards for heat pumps, air-conditioners, and refrigeration equipment from the point of view of the use of hydrocarbons as refrigerants. Second, this piece summarizes the main requirements that these standards impose to their employment on the specified type of equipment. Additionally, this paper comments upon the current availability of compressors for use with hydrocarbons, according to their specific typology and size.
