Résumé

It is considered that ice thermal storage systems can provide cold water for cooling of food materials or food processed goods. Cold water temperatures required for cooling of food materials or processed goods is as low as 0 to 2 °C. Conventional ice making systems are of a static type, where ice forms on the tubes. The author developed a new ice thermal storage system called the supercooled water ice making system, which can supply cold water at constant evaporation temperatures thus constant ice making capability and with good responses to load changes. This article reports on the conformity and capability of the new ice thermal storage system installed in a food factory.
