On a mis au point des compresseurs adaptés au R134a et aux huiles PAG, afin de remplacer les modèles classiques fonctionnant au R12-huile minérale. D'autres articles et publications ont présenté les détails des modifications de conception. L'article concerne principalement les modifications des procédures de fabrication et de maintenance pour les compresseurs fonctionnant au R134a-huile PAG.
