L'utilisation de l'énergie dans le froid pour les grandes surfaces.

Energy use across supermarket refrigeration.

Résumé

This paper analyses the energy used by different parts of refrigeration in a supermarket. The proportions of electricity being used by the packs and the cabinets are taken from a year long detailed study of refrigeration energy use at a host store (with 56 000 square feet sates sales floor) in Northamptonshire belonging to a major supermarket chain. The 4 times hourly energy use measurements taken from 10 power meters in the store lead to the maximum and minimum demand for refrigeration energy. The work was targeted on demonstrating the energy that could be saved and the fact that neither food nor storage quality was compromised by the use of a novel defrost on demand system. The power readings, combined with other information about the proportion of energy supplied to cabinets that is used by components within the cabinets, is used to estimate the improvement in energy performance that has been achieved over the last 15 years and the amount that can reasonably be achieved in the next 10 years.
