This Handbook describes the procedures followed in evaluating state legal metrology laboratories for competence. The section on technical criteria for thermometer laboratories contains the specific technical criteria in accordance with which a laboratory should demonstrate that it operates, if it is to be recognized as competent to carry out thermometer calibrations.
